Schott HT glass with the famous T* ("T star") coating delivers 90% light transmission for a beautiful image, even in the low light of dusk or dawn. The SFL is nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging and waterproof to nearly 14'.

- The lightweight yet rugged magnesium housing enhances durability and longevity for generations to come. The smaller lens diameter allows ZEISS to use thinner lens elements that can be installed closer together. At the same time, the SFL binoculars offer flawless image quality despite the incredible reduction in weight and volume relative to other models.
- The lens diameter has been reduced by 2mm, making it possible to use thinner lens elements at closer spacing and reduce the weight by up to 20% and their volume by up to 13% compared to the ZEISS Victory SF models.
