Rather than rebuilding rigs for different purposes, you can use the Rotarion wheel to switch between observing, imaging deep sky objects, and planetary imaging. The cameras, focuser, off-axis guider, and other components are made by top astronomy optics brands including Televue and ZWO. The rig needs no assembly and packs into its own watertight case with cutout foam interior.
The T21 Hermes Traveller requires a user-supplied go-to mount and tripod, a PC or laptop, image capture and processing software, and a power supply. It is suited to intermediate and expert amateur and professional astroimagers and educators whose campuses do not have observatories.
